Lace and wool

I’m really excited to begin sharing the Scotland photo diaries with you.  Something about this place has really intrigued me, perhaps it’s their long history so deep-rooted in war, much like my country, or their distinctly separate identity from England (while being a part of the UK).  Before I landed on the emerald country of lush green nature and historic castles, I knew that there were many layers to Scotland to peel away.

I also knew that the weather was often brisk, June summers take their highs in the 60s and drop to 40s at night.  I wanted to celebrate Scotland’s complexity by embracing fabric and layers that were comfortable but different.  Lace & wool accomplished my goal beautifully, with plenty of femininity to spare.  I wanted to keep the colors light and cheerful to keep the late Spring and early Summer in mind.  I hope you like my choices…
