Nottinghill at the door

LondonFashion4-3

I have long been a shameless fan of the movie Nottinghill, that quirky charm of Hugh Grant’s bookshop owner character didn’t only sweep an American movie star off of her feet, it also swept mine.  When we ended up in London, I was so lucky to have my friend Richard McDougall point me to the famous Portobello road where the movie was filmed.

Below, you can see me embracing my full fan love by posing in front of William Thacker’s blue apartment door, I tried to be considerate and not hogged the door for too long, so at some point we moved to the red door right next to there for more photos.

If you haven’t seen the movie yet, you’re missing out.  Julia Roberts’s classic Hollywood beauty is such an unexpected but perfect pairing with Hugh Grant’s understated English charm.  Go on… you may feel an urgent need to travel to Nottinghill too…
