Are you a delicate classic who adores Chanel suits and soft pastels? Or are you a rebellious creative who expresses herself in brights? I’ve never been too sure of categories, so in the hypothetical situation that I’m asked the above questions, I play it safe and claim both. This outfit is my interpretation of that greediness.

They say, behind every happy and confident woman, there’s a very supportive and funny man (or something like that)… I was, perhaps, a shy girl once who stayed away from colors. But you can’t stay coy for long if you’re married to Apollo Robbins, or some of you know him as The Gentleman Thief. Really, with a name like that, you can expect a lot of charm and lure, and you’ll get it, plus ten thousand. The man is seldom seen without his playful fedora, yes, sometimes he wears it at home :). So this post is a bit dedicated to Mr. Robbins, who brings so much fun and games into my life, I’m all colors and cheers!

One sunny day, (or was it many days, some sunny, some cloudy), a sweet beautiful girl (who also happens to be a famous Vietnamese singer named Bao Han) met a clever charming boy who swept her off her feet (or did she sweep him off his feet). They met through some mutual good friends (or was it strangers in a bar) and fell instantly for love at first sight (or was it a deep friendship that blossomed passion later).
Oh all right, the details of this courtship are, to say the least, a series of unusual serendipities that gradually revealed themselves to be fortuitous for both girl and boy. I happen to be a lucky friend who got to listen to the fascinating story along the way and witnessed the romance come into fruition. Some day, the girl may write an autobiography about her intriguing life and reveal the details to you, you may cross your fingers :)
All I know is, it was an absolute blast to snap some photos for them on our way to dinner. They’re fun-loving and good-loving photography buffs who are so incredibly goofy and adorable on camera. I felt like I was watching the happy ending of a romantic comedy. Congratulations to Han & Tee, I can’t wait to shoot more photos of you two love birds.
Business meetings in the Las Vegas summer is tricky. When the weather is triple digits, it’s hard for me to want to wear anything besides flowing summer dresses. But since that isn’t the proper attire for all meetings, I was more than happy to find this Rachel Roy dress on sale at Loehman’s one window-shopping afternoon. Light material in classic sheath shape and gorgeously cheerful orange. It lets me bring a bit of brightness into the ordinary weekdays in conference rooms.
Some of you have asked me to post more outfits that feature wide-legged pants and this post is dedicated to you. The truth is, the majority of pants that I own were wide-legged, due to the simple and much-appreciated fact that I’m just a bit over 5 feet and wide-legged pants over 4-inch heels give me the kind of long lean silhouette I hope will be bestowed upon me in my next lifetime.
Over the years and as I start to travel more and more, the number of wide-legged pants decreased slowly because my travels didn’t always allow walking in heels so packing wide-legged pants was not as versatile as skinny pants (that can be worn with heels or flats).
Whenever I’m home in Vegas and embracing the suburban driving culture, I take advantage of this flattering silhouette as much as I can. This may be the first of many wide-legged pants posts to come… so be careful what you wish for :).
