{birthdays and} laughter

I had a birthday a couple of days ago.  It was one of the best birthdays, if not the best.  My life has charted out in such a way that every birthday seems better than the last.  The days’ activities are never the same, but the state of mind anchors from the same happiness and thankfulness, and only branches out abundantly from there.

One of my favorite quotes about age is by Mark Twain: “Wrinkles should merely indicate where smiles have been”.  And this almost single-handedly exemplifies how I feel about birthdays, and age, these days.  I approach it with more than a healthy dose of humor.  I am constantly and literally trying to find ways to have fun, whether I’m performing magic, cooking, writing, photographing, and especially while I’m dressing.

This outfit is one of those that is an absolutely blast to wear.  It carries a lot of movement and play, with whimsical and feminine elements but do not sacrifice comfort.

Top Shop sweatshirt, F21 maxi skirt, Zara boots, Zac Posen tote, Madewell rings, Jewel Mint bracelets, and necklace gifted from my friend Michelle.
